The 2019 Taylor Lady Ducks volleyball team shined bright at the 4A Region IV District 27 awards.

Taylor finished the season 24-18 and 6-4 in district play finishing third. The district recognized every member of the team for Academic All-District. Kaitlyn Finney, Paige Levy, Kiera VanBrocklin, Kaylee Turner, Avery Tumey, Abby Patschke, Aubrie Stromberg, Aniston Silverthorn, Sarah Vrabel, Myah Richardson and Maggie Ryines.

All- District Honorable mention were Kaitlyn Finney, Myah Richardson, Maggie Ryines and Kaylee Turner.

2nd Team All-District Honors went to Abby Patschke, Avery Tumey and Kiera VanBrocklin

Selected to 1st Team All-Distict was Aubrie Stromberg.

The Lady Ducks also brought home District Defensive Player of the Year in Paige Levy.

“The district coaches got together and voted on All-District teams. We are so excited to announce that all 11 varsity players made the Academic All-District Team. They maintained an A average for the volleyball season. We also had four student athletes on the Honorable Mention team, 3 student athletes on 2nd Team, 1 student athlete on the 1st team and the Defensive Player of the Year for the district. We are so proud of all student athletes that got the recognition for all their hard work during district,” Coach Kennedy said.
