The Taylor High School boys golf team had an impressive showing this past season with three members being recognized Wednesday, May 22 when the All-District golf selections for the 2019 season were released.

Sophomore Jake Mucha was named First Team All-American for the second consecutive year. Also, fellow teammates, sophomore Luke Ramirez and junior Marshall Oman received honorable mention.

The team finished third overall in District 27 4A.

Mucha, who led the Duck Golf team this year with an 81.5 average per tournament achieved a sixth place finish in district out of the 81 individuals on non-advancing teams.

Mucha was a Region IV qualifier and competed in the 4A Regional Golf Tournament at the Gabe Lozano Golf Club in Corpus Christi April 23. He finished the tournament tied for 11th overall out of 96 entrants.

Ramirez averaged 90.1 and placed 13th in district, while Oman’s 92.5 average finished 19th.

All three players will return next year.
