It took all 32 minutes for the Taylor Ducks basketball team to come away with a slim win over the Burnet Bulldogs last Friday night. Nevertheless, the boys came away with the big road win 61-60.

Taylor jumped out in front of the Bulldogs in the first quarter 15-11, but Burnet would not go away. At halftime, the Ducks were up in a slim 32-25 lead as the teams headed into the locker room.

A big third quarter by both schools kept the game close at 51-42. The Bulldogs battled back in the closing frame eventually taking the lead, 60-59, but with just under 5 seconds remaining in the game Senior, Devin Garcia stepped to the charity stripe and sunk both shots as Ducks rallied back to take down the home team.

Garcia led the Ducks with 19 points while Ja'Ron Carver added 17 more.

The Ducks were back in-home action Tuesday night against Lampasas. With the win, the Ducks improve to 17-9 overall and are back tied for 1st place at 4-1 with Liberty Hill.
