This past Tuesday the Taylor Lady Ducks volleyball team came from two sets behind to take down Burnet Lady Bulldogs and improve to 2-0 in district play and 20-13 on the season.
“We came out playing decent the first 2 sets of the match but losing them 21-25 and 23-25. With the score 4-4 in the third set, we had a player go down and the very next play our libero had to step off the court to fix a contact, and that momentum switch was what helped us rally to win the next 3 sets,” Coach Kennedy said.
In the match Senior, Abby Patschke led the teams with 30 assists. Senior, Aubrie Stromberg contributed 14 Kills and 2 blocks. Also, in the match Senior, Kaitlyn Finney had 3 Aces and
Senior, Paige Levy had 31 digs.
“We had some really good rallies going with Burnet and were able to come out on top which helped energize the girls to play better. This was a great district win for us and will help boost us into keeping a playoff spot in sight,” Kennedy added.
The Lady Ducks were again in action Friday, October 4 at Lampasas as the team looks to remain unbeaten and keep in contention for first place in the district
