Rudy Ontiveros Sr., 60, passed away Sept. 24, 2019, at home. He was the husband of Virginia Ontiveros. They shared 43 years of marriage together.
Born in Taylor, he was the son of Josephine and Castulo Ontiveros, Sr. He was employed at Abbott Labs for many years.
He was a member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor. Rudy was a man that loved the Lord. He was generous, kind and funny.
Rudy always found pleasure in spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He loved sports, especially the Longhorns and TCU, when not playing the Horns. Rudy will be remembered for the joy that he had for life and the love he had for his family and grandchildren.
He was predeceased in death by Castulo Ontiveros, Sr, his mother in law Anita Lopez, and his sister in law Becky Gutierrez.
Rudy is survived by his devoted wife, Virginia Ontiveros; children Rudy Ontiveros, Jr. and wife Miranda, Stephen Ontiveros and Nina Ontiveros. His grandchildren are Jarod, Mia, Jenna, Jordan, Easton, Tiana and Georgia Grace Ontiveros. He is also survived by his mother, Josephine Ontiveros and by his brothers and sister Richard Ontiveros, Ruben Ontiveros and wife Yolanda, Patricia Ontiveros, Roland Ontiveros, Castulo Ontiveros, Jr., Johnny Ray Ontiveros and wife Stephanie, and Jeffrey Ontiveros and wife Emily.
The viewing will be Sunday Sept. 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. with a rosary following at 5 p.m.at Beck Funeral Home, 4765 Priem Lane Pflugerville.
The funeral service will be held Monday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 301 East Fourth Street in Taylor, with a graveside service immediately following at Taylor Cemetery.
