Bobby Joe Beran, 72, of Taylor passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020.
Bobby was born Aug. 10, 1947, in Taylor to Joe Adolph and Ella (Synatzke) Beran. He was a 1966 graduate of Thorndale High School and served in the United States Army from September 1967 to August 1969.
On June 8, 1974, he married the love of his life, Mildred Faltesek. Through their love, they were blessed with three children.
Bobby was a hard worker and was always helping others in need. He retired from Alcoa after 30 years. He loved playing dominoes with his buddies and entering the state domino tournament in Hallettsville year after year with his son. He was the Domino King and a staple at Randy’s and Moe’s/Marshall’s.
He made friends wherever he went. His kids and grandkids were his world and he did everything for them. He loved spoiling his grandkids and they thought of their pops as their best friend. He enjoyed bull-corning with his extended family and loved family get togethers.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alvin; nephew, Bradley; and loving mother-in-law whom he adored, Elsie Faltesek.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Mildred; children Jason (Nicole) Beran, Amanda Beran, both of Taylor, and Melanie Beran; grandchildren, Marisa (Armando) Solis, Tobey and Miranda Beran, Ian Botello and Alyzah Flores, all of Taylor; one great-grandson, Nathan Solis; brothers, Walter (Donna) Beran of Thorndale and Johnny Beran of Rockdale; sisters-in-law whom he considered sisters, Julie (Curtis) Borho of Leander and Mary Morgan of Rockdale; and numerous nieces and nephews who meant the world to him.
Bobby’s presence will be missed dearly, but we know he is at peace with our loving Savior.
