Our beloved sister Susie Lopez Lucio, age 87, resident of Twin Falls, Idaho, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020 with family by her side.
Susie fought many health issues throughout her adult life. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and a member of St. Edwards the Confessor Catholic church in Twin Falls. Susie carried that strong faith with her in everything she did.
She loved her family dearly. She loved talking to her siblings by telephone. Due to health issues her travels were limited, so the phone did the traveling for her.
Susie was employed as a drapery seamstress in Riverside, California, up until she retired in 1996, when she moved to Twin Falls.
Her presence, smile and laughter will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Feliciana Lopez; sons, Sam Lopez and Dennis Lucio; daughter, Marilu Van Diest; sisters Maria Guadalupe Vera, Ermelinda Castro and Gloria Moreno; brother, Paul Lopez; and sister-n-law Eva Lopez.
Susie is survived by four children, daughter, Debbie Lennox; sons, Robert Lucio, Gilbert Lucio and Larry Lucio and wife Wendy; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her siblings, Mary Gamez, Lorenzo Lopez Jr., Richard Lopez and wife Josie and Olga Gonzales and husband Ray; and sister-n-law Lucy Lopez.
Susie’s family has requested no public services at this time. Arrangement under the direction of the Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home in Twin Falls.
