Scott Ernest Andrewartha passed away May 15, 2020, surrounded by his loving family in the peace of his home in Taylor. Scott E. Andrewartha was born Dec. 27, 1953 and grew up in Lockhart.
He worked for the family plumbing, heating and electrical business. He attended Southwest Texas State University, then later attended St. Edwards University to obtain a degree in computer science. Throughout the years he ran several small plumbing/electrical and IT businesses of his own in Austin and surrounding areas.
He was active in the AA fellowship and impacted countless lives with his dedication to the AA community.
Scott loved the outdoors, traveling, enjoying good music and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest E. “Andy” and Dorothy Andrewartha of Lockhart; and brother-in-law Matthew Walker of Lockhart.
Scott is survived by his spouse, Selma Andrewartha; step-son, Mike (Dolly) McSwain of Shreveport; three daughters, Kisha Andrewartha of Maxwell, Brande (Albert) Sifuentes of Lockhart, and Sylvia (William) Alexander of San Antonio; eight grandchildren, Larsson McSwain, Maxey McSwain, Kira Paben, Alura Paben, Nicholas Sifuentes, Stone Morrow, Natalie Sifuentes and Asa Alexander; two great-grandchildren, Nyla and Sephira Solis; sister, Amy Walker of Lockhart; and nephews, Matthew Walker, Jr. and Joshua Walker.
Scott will be greatly missed by his friends and family alike. A celebration of life will be held July 12, at 2 p.m. at Willis Creek Park in Taylor. The family invites those whose life Scott has touched to come and share your special memories.
