Police investigating suspicious death

Police were on the scene investigating a suspicious death in Taylor Saturday afternoon.

UPDATED Nov. 10, 12:41 p.m.

The Taylor Police Department is investigating a suspicious death in the 1200 block of Howard Street. On Nov. 9, at 2:21 pm, police responded to a report of a deceased person.

A neighbor found Wilma Bisang, 81, of Taylor, dead in the detached garage of her home.

There were signs of a struggle, and trauma was observed on the body.

Detectives are being assisted in the investigation by the Williamson County Crime Scene Unit, the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office, and the Texas Rangers. Taylor Police have consulted with the Williamson County District Attorney regarding the case.

Autopsy reports are pending.

The case is still under investigation.


According to the Taylor Police Department, the autopsy report from the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office has come back, and officers do not believe this death will be ruled as a homicide.

Taylor Police Chief Henry Fluck said there is no threat to the community.

This was my neighbor. For years, she would get up in the morning, take her walker and walk from Howard and McClain all the way to Walmart.... About 4 miles each way... Never responded to my hellos and waves... and that was okay. She mostly kept to herself. May she rest in peace...
