Community members can assist in the search for a new superintendent.
On Wednesday, Oct. 28, Taylor ISD will hold a town hall meeting regarding the district’s superintendent search. The event will be at 6:30 p.m. at the TISD auditorium, 3101 N. Main St. in Taylor.
“The town hall meeting is an opportunity for the community to participate in the superintendent search process,” said James Guerra, JG Consulting president, “by sharing input about the desired attributes, characteristics and traits of the district’s next leader.”
Earlier this month during a special called meeting, Taylor ISD’s school board chose JG Consulting as the search firm to find the district’s next superintendent. Keith Brown, Taylor ISD’s current superintendent, resigned in August and plans to remain Taylor ISD’s lead administrator until Jan. 27, 2021.
Wednesday’s meeting is to gather information and input to assist with the development of the profile for the next Taylor ISD superintendent. Taylor ISD’s board of trustees might be present and constitute a quorum. If so, the board will not vote or act upon any items listed in this agenda at the meeting. Any action will be taken at a future meeting held in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
“Our team will summarize the feedback and share a final report with the School Board encompassing all of the feedback and input received from each meeting including the online survey,” said Guerra. “The summary report will, ultimately, assist my team in the creation of the job profile of the district’s next leader.”
