James Talarico

Our next live newsmaker interview is at 7 p.m. Wednesday April 24, at the Texas Beer Co. The special guest will be State Representative James Talarico.

In November, Talarico succeeded Larry Gonzales for District 52, which also includes Taylor.

In January, Talarico won a coveted seat on the House Public Education Committee, which worked with the Texas Legislature with school finance and property tax reform. He has a background in public education as a teacher and nonprofit leader and was the only Central Texas legislator on the committee.

Talarico will also serve on the Juvenile Justice Committee where he said he’d work to create more effective, fair, and just systems for all young people—particularly children of color.

Pints, Politics & Culture is streamed live on the Taylor Press’ Facebook page (@gotaylortx), then curated on the paper’s website.

If you have questions for Talarico, please email them to publisher@taylorpress.net.
