Today, May 20, will be the final Wednesday print edition of the Taylor Press. However, an e-edition will be still be produced every week. The Taylor Press will print an edition only on Sunday and will move to online editions on Wednesday.
“Our Sunday print editions will be much bigger, but you can still get a form of the newspaper on Wednesday, it will just be online,” said Jason Hennington, publisher.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Taylor Press, like many other businesses, have made adjustments to how it serves its customers.
“We will still continue to update our website and use social media channels on a regular basis,” Hennington said. “We will still be your source for local news.”
Beginning May 24, Wednesday editions will be digital and Sunday editions will continue as normal. Each week, subscribers will receive an email notice that the Wednesday edition is online.
“Make sure we have your email so we can send you the link every week to read your paper on Wednesday,” Hennington said.
The first e-edition will be May 27, and the first larger edition of the Sunday Taylor Press will be May 31.
Although there is no longer a print edition on Wednesday, deadlines have not changed for classifieds, obituaries and other reader submitted content.
The deadline for classifieds in the Wednesday e-edition is Monday at noon. For the Sunday print edition, the deadline is Thursday at noon. Classifieds can be emailed to email@example.com.
The deadline for obituaries is Tuesday by noon for Wednesday’s e-edition and Friday by noon for Sunday’s print edition. Obituaries can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
