Car accident

One car was left upside down after a two-car collision last week. There were no reported injuries to the drivers.

An accident last Friday ended with a car flipped over but no major injuries.

On Jan. 3 at approximately 10:30 a.m., the Taylor Police Department responded to a call about two vehicles involved in a collision at 3700 N. Main St. One vehicle was turned onto its top as a result.

According to police reports, the incident began when Peggy Weise, 77, was driving her 2015 Nissan Murano and got into the center lane. She was attempting to turn into the Walmart parking lot. At the same time, Rebecca Dove, 42, was in a 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage traveling south on Main Street.

When Weise made the turn, police said her car allegedly failed to yield the right of way and struck Dove’s vehicle. The Mirage was hit in the driver’s side rear quarter panel, lost control and rolled over.

Despite the severe appearance of the accident, police reported that there were no injuries. Neither driver needed to be transported to a hospital.
