TAYLOR, Texas – On September 5, 2019, the Taylor Police Department welcomed Officer Darrell Ray with a swear-in ceremony at the Taylor Public Library Thursday.

 The ceremony was conducted by Taylor Police Chief Henry Fluck, who administered the official oath of office. The ceremony was attended by city officials and guests. Officer Ray is a 2003 graduate of John Reagan High School in Austin and began working with the Travis County Sheriff's Office as a Corrections Officer in 2010. Officer Ray was hired as Taylor Police recruit in April of this year and graduated from the Central Texas Police Academy on August 31. Pictured with Officer Ray is Taylor Police Chief Henry Fluck.
