Results from the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Leadership Conference yielded some Lion Pride

The FCCLA conference was April 8-10 in Dallas. Granger FCCLA members Danicia Cook and Callie Rodriguez competed virtually in the Chapter Service Project Portfolio event and won the state championship. Elizabeth Martinez competed virtually in the Repurpose and Redesign event as a state qualifier.

As FCCLA state champions, Cook and Rodriguez will compete virtually at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference. They also receive a $4,000 scholarship to Texas Tech University.

FCCLA state officers were named during the conference, which includes two from Granger. Marissa Gonzales was elected as the 2021-22 state vice president of Service Learning. Hunter Prinz was elected as the 2021-22 national officer candidate and will be running for national office at the National Leadership Conference in Nashville this summer.
