The annual Thrall Harvest Festival was held Saturday, Oct. 26, at Thrall ISD, 201 S. Bounds Street. The event was hosted by the Thrall Community Education Foundation (TCEF). The 2019 Harvest Festival candidates brought in over $55,000 in raffle ticket sales. Silent auction, donations and raffle tickets made $61,652.50, while carnival booths generated $3,906.55. The freshman class turkey dinner made $7,446 and the revenue total before expenditures was $73,005.05. The focus each year for the festival is to generate funds for student scholarships and classroom initiatives for Thrall ISD students. Every year, Thrall graduates receive a $1,000 scholarship to their college or trade school of choice once they apply during their senior year. Additionally, classroom initiatives are supported annually through these proceeds as TCEF makes selections in the summer for the start of each school year.
