TAG exhibition

The event kicked off a Third Thursday event that included ribbon-cutting events for 120ART and Equine Essentials. All three endeavors are on 2nd Street in the newly renovated Tittsworth Building.

The Taylor Art Guild and Jerry’s Artarama in Austin hosted a juried exhibition at 120ART and the winners were announced as part of Third Thursday last week.

The show, titled “Fun with Livestock,” drew 24 entrants and yielded a variety of winners including a first-place tie.

The tie went to Dave Griffin, with his scratchboard entry, “Hen House,” and Sally Taylor, and her mixed media effort “Fun With Dick and Jane.”

Judy Blundell took second place with “Transcendence,” and Danica Alsobrook’s mixed media “Gone Fishing took third place.

Honorable mentions went to Miguel Verastique, Dave Griffin, Ace Tobak and Donna Yarrell.

Others who showed at the exhibition were John Bielss, Kelly Eddleman, Dixie Rhodes and Amber Cunningham.
