Thrall ISD’s efforts to engage with students’ families have been recognized.
Region 13 Education Service Center’s School Improvement Team has awarded Thrall ISD for parent and family engagement promising practices to Thrall Elementary School. Region 13’s Natlie Weber presented the honor to counselor, Amanda Bexley and Thrall Elementary School Principal Sherri Maruska.
The award is part of a statewide initiative to gather descriptive information from schools serving grades prekindergarten through grade 12 on specific strategies that have helped to increase parent & family engagement and student outcomes.
Thrall ISD hosts an annual Showcase of Excellence event that provides students the opportunity to showcase the amazing things they have learned and created throughout the year. This is a come-and-go opportunity for parents and members of the community to meet the district leadership team and learn all about Thrall ISD offerings. Visitors have the opportunity to explore exhibits from all grade levels that fill the gym, library, classrooms and hallways.
The date for this year’s Showcase of Excellence is to be determined. More information will be posted on the district website at https://www.thrallisd.com when available.
