A Taylor school mentor program recently received a donation recently from a local insurance agency.

When Ted Alexander asked his wife, Joy, for suggestions of where they could donate $500 in the community on behalf of State Farm Insurance, she didn’t hesitate in answering the Taylor ISD Mentor at Lunch (MUNCH) program. As a MUNCH mentor herself, Alexander knew first-hand of the positive impact the program is having on youth in our community.

“We are truly blessed that we have so many mentors that are willing to come and work with students,” said Carol Bachmayer, mentor and volunteer recruiter. “Our mentors love what they do and it was very disappointing for them that we didn’t go back after spring break. This donation will be a big help when we are up and running again.”
