On Saturday, Aug. 10, the Texas Beer Company (TBC) hosted Happy Hour for students getting ready to go back to school.

During the event, root beer was free for children, and half price beers for adults. There was a kids’ playlist where children could request the music that was played.

Activities included art with butcher paper, markers and crayons at several tables. There were also Legos, Hot Wheels and children’s card games. Children also played foosball and corn hole.

This was the first time TBC hosted a back to school event, but feel it is important to the community.

“Texas Beer Company is proud to be a part of the Taylor Community and we welcome kids and parents of all ages. We always want everyone who comes in to have a great time and feel welcomed.” Amy Everhart, wife of CEO Ian Davis said.

TBC also hosted a school supply drive for Taylor ISD and reached out to teachers to try and clear their Amazon lists as well.
