Adolph and Jacquelyn Pick

Adolph and Jacquelyn Pick celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Thursday, June 11.

They were married June 11, 1950, at Hope Lutheran Church in Buckholts. Following the wedding, the two honeymooned to Corpus Christi, Lake Charles, Louisiana and Houston. After living in the Edgeworth Community for six months, they moved to a farm in the Hoxie Community, where they still live today.

The farm that once was filled with the sound of tractors and combines is now, at any given

holiday, abuzz with the sound of the more than 40 Picks who came to be family due to this 70-year union.

Adolph and Jacquelyn have four children, Randall and wife Debbie of Hutto, Bobby and wife

Susan of Thrall, Donald and wife Christy of Taylor and Sharon and husband Celo of Taylor.

They also have 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
