“You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.”

- John Bunyan

It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas.

Taylor just had another beautiful parade. The decorations are up all over town, and the nativity is placed at the Heritage Park. Santa’s house is just across the street. There will be caroling and goodwill. You can count on the generosity of Taylorites when it comes to helping others, especially during the holiday season.

There are several toy drives to ensure no child will go without. No one will go hungry either thanks to several food drives throughout the community.

A big thank you for the organizers and for those who help making it happen. We are truly blessed; the givers and the receivers.

If people only knew how much joy it brings to help and to do something good.

But, there are so many other needs too.

What can you do today to make someone’s life a little easier? It can be as simple as an encouraging word.

I challenge you today to pick three people and tell them how much they matter, how much they mean to you. You have one week. You can simply say it, write a note, a text or even send an email, but do it. Don’t put it off.

Many people are very stressed in this time and deal with anxiety. Your attention could make a difference.

Imagine if everyone accepted this challenge, we sould spread so much kindness.

Don’t forget to tell us about the kindness you received. We want to know who made you smile. We want to know who walked the extra mile. Give them a shout out so we can recognize these kind people.

Remember to visit the Good News Taylor Made Facebook page to read or share the kindness in the community.

You can also send your stories to lifestyles@taylorpress.net or mail them to the Taylor Press, 211 W. Third St.

Always remember there is goodness everywhere and kindness matters.
