Good News

We all have a different way of seeing things. What do you see here? Is it a goat or a bird?

How about we look at things we have in common instead of what sets us apart?

Different people perceive things or events differently. According to neuroscience, it has something to do with that person’s emotional response, which is based on their experiences. Since every person’s life is different and everyone has a very unique history, it’s easier to understand why different people see things differently.

We have far more similarities than differences, and all too often, we focus more on the things that are different. If we try to see the person first and not just one opinion, then we are off to a good start to make this world a little kinder.

“I would like to thank the thoughtful lady in the H-E-B parking lot who took my empty cart and put it up. Also, I want to thank Joey at Walmart for going out of his way to find an employee to cut fabric.”

“I just read Sunday’s paper, and want to thank you for several articles/writers who regularly make my day. Mary Ann Melton gives great information about local area plants, animals and even insects.  A naturalist! I look forward to seeing her publish a book. I tear them out and share with my daughter in Manor. Martha Bowles is a breath of fresh air. I enjoy hearing her think. She writes well! Isabella Tebeau is reliably upbeat and puts a spotlight on one of the things I love about Taylor – our unselfish sharing. Thanks for brightening my Sunday.”
