Firefighters with the city of Taylor Fire Department completed training for their fire inspector certifications. The training, governed by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, started in late September and ended in mid-November, and covered subjects such as building construction, legal aspects and customer service.

The training will ultimately allow for up to four additional fire inspectors to conduct annual fire inspections throughout the city.

Fire inspections are no cost to customers and are the primary means to ensure fire safety for local businesses.
