A warming center has been set up for anyone who needs a warm place to stay today.
At 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, Taylor's municipal government sent an update on the city's response to the winter storm going through the area. Among the announcements was the set up of a warming center at St. Paul House and Fellowship Hall.
"The warming center will operate on Thursday, Feb. 3 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.," said the Taylor Muncipal Government in a statement. "Please call 512-662-3348 if you know of someone who needs a place to go and/or transportation to the warming center."
St. Paul is located at 401 W. 7th St. in Taylor.
Here are updates from the city Thursday morning:
• ROAD CLOSURES: The Main Street overpass and the 800 block of S. Rio Grande Street remain closed as of 9:30 a.m.
• TRASH AND RECYCLING: Trash and recycling pickup scheduled for Thursday has been moved to Friday, Feb. 4.
• Isolated and intermittent power outages are possible as ice continues to accumulate on trees and power lines. If your power does go out, contact Oncor at 888-313-4747.
