Let’s rodeo

Thursday night, cowboys and cowgirls competed in the slack round of the Taylor Rodeo. Slack is the overflow of contestants who are not able to compete in the normal rodeo because the performance is full. Slack rodeo contains some of the same events such as calf-roping, team-toping, barrel racing and steer wrestling. This was one of the contestants in the women’s break-away calf-roping competition Thursday night. The 69th annual Taylor Rodeo was held Friday and Saturday at the Williamson County Expo Center. Look in Wednesday’s paper for more photos form the rodeo.
